Sophisticated specimen retention

GBA Group has created a sophisticated specimen storage and tracking system, which provides detailed information on each sample. It ensures accurate monitoring and enables instant action whenever additional or re-testing is required.

Besides the storage of specimens we offer aliquoting or pseudonymization services for your specimens. 2D Data Matrix Codes enable the tracking of each individual aliquot.

This meets national and international requirements for data protection, documentation and traceability.

After completion of the analytical testing, specimens are stored frozen as long as the customer states. The samples will be disposed of only after written confirmation by the customer.

Specimen Storage

GBA Group offers long term storage of different specimen types under certain storage conditions, from + 37°C or - 80°C down to liquid nitrogen (- 196°C). Temperature monitoring, automated alerts and backup systems secure your samples. Each specimen is tracked individually from accessioning to shipment or disposal. Our sophisticated storage system guarantees a 24-hour sample availability time from request to shipment.

Specimen for third parties

GBA Group offers the retrieval, handling, storage and transportation of specimens to be analyzed by a referral laboratory, e.g. for pharmacokinetic or molecular assays and more. We have established specialized procedures for the management of genetic samples including a double coding step to ensure full compliance with data privacy.
